What does a standard uSymphony license cost after the Official Release (Official Release = “GA”) and what does that include?

The prices are unchanged: $75 for uSymphony for VS Community and $135 for uSymphony for VS Pro / Enterprise. Starting in year 2 you may renew maintenance at $45 or $79 per user.

Can large teams cut costs further?
Yes. When you place one order that includes several named-user licenses (and any pre-paid maintenance you want to add), a volume discount is applied to the entire subtotal:

How does uSymphony’s total cost compare with JetBrains Rider for a small team?
Tool & Scenario
Year 1
Year 2
Year 3
3-Year total*
uSymphony for VS Community (5 named users, 85 % bulk tier)
$75 × 5 × 0.85 = $318.75
$45 × 5 × 0.85 = $191.25
$45 × 5 × 0.85 = $191.25
$701.25
Rider (Organisation license)
$419 × 5 = $2095
$419 × 5 = $2095
$419 × 5 = $2095
$6285
* uSymphony figures assume the team keeps renewing annual maintenance; skip-renew years would lower the total even further. Rider uses its standard commercial (organisation) seat price, which must be paid every year to stay current.
Bottom line: After uSymphony’s volume discount is applied, the team spends just $701 over three years—about 88 % less than the $6 285 they would pay for Rider.
Public Beta specifics
What is the beta offer and when does it end?
We’re in Public Beta. Purchasing any license grants immediate download access to all current beta builds and ongoing beta updates. The Public Beta runs until the Official Release planned for December 2025. On the Official Release day, the beta storefront closes; prices move to Official Release pricing; and all licensed users can download the shipping build on day one.

What advantages do beta buyers receive, and when does the offer end?
• Save up to 40% vs Official Release pricing. • Immediate download of the current Public Beta builds after purchase. • Frequent beta updates during the test period. • Day-1 Official Release download in December 2025. • Maintenance clock starts on Official Release day — no time lost during beta. • Roadmap-feature voting rights to help prioritize post-release features. • Extended rethink window: a 30-day change-of-mind period begins after the Official Release (our voluntary policy in addition to any statutory rights that may apply).
What is the beta refund policy?
• Before the Official Release: you may request a full refund and we’ll deactivate the license. • After the Official Release: Public Beta customers have a 30-day change-of-mind period to evaluate the shipping build; if you choose to cancel within 30 days, we’ll issue a full refund and deactivate the license. • After that 30-day period, beta licenses become non-refundable, similar to our policy for regular customers (who typically have a 14-day withdrawal window where applicable under local distance-selling rules).
Support & Refunds
What exactly is “maintenance”, and do I pay back-fees if I skip a year?
Maintenance covers all minor & major updates and official support. Renewals ($45 / $79) are optional; if you skip, you keep using the last version forever and can resume later for only a single current-year fee — no arrears.
What support channels are available?
• Email/ticket (1 BD response for Community, 8 h SLA for Pro/Ent). • Community forums for peer help. • Docs: install guides, migration how-tos, and Unity-upgrade notes.
What refund window do I have on a new perpetual license?
• For purchases made after the Official Release, individual consumers may cancel for any reason within 14 calendar days of purchase and receive a full refund; the license is then revoked. • For presale purchases (i.e., before the software ships) you may cancel any time up to the day the Official Release build is delivered. After delivery you still enjoy a 30-day “change-of-mind” period—double the standard window—because early adopters have not yet tried the shipping version.
How are yearly maintenance renewals refunded?
• A renewal can be refunded within 30 days provided no support ticket has been answered and no update released during that window has been activated. • Downloading an update or receiving support permanently converts the renewal into a non-refundable service (industry norm for support contracts).
What happens if I buy maintenance early for next year and change my mind?
Pre-paid future renewals are fully refundable right up to the day the next term starts; once the term begins, the 30-day/unused rule above applies.
Is there any refund at all after 14 days (or 30 days for presale)?
No. Beyond that point the license fee is non-refundable, but you retain perpetual use of the last build you downloaded.
